Well, so it begins! Today was Samantha's first day of Kindergarten at Brentwood Elementary. Mommy & Daddy held it together surprisingly well trying not to get too sentimental. We were happy to have Grandma & Grandpa join us for the big day.
Samantha was very excited and happy to begin her first day. Her teacher, Mrs. Shelly Boden seems to be a very nice person and we've heard very good things about her. We look forward to becoming involved with the school and sharing in Sam's excitement and enthusiasm (we'll enjoy this while we can...:-).
She does not know anyone in her class which is a good thing considering she will make new friends. There seems to be more boys than girls and Daddy is not sure if that is good or bad. Too early to say, right?
We picked her up at the end of her day and there was still a smile on her face so it was a very good sign that she enjoyed it. Its hard to get detailed information out of a 4 year old but throughout the evening we were able to get bits and pieces. Overall it was a good day with no tears. Tomorrow will begin a new day and we're just as excited!!
