The Brentwood Monroe Bunch seen the Summer of 2009 end with a bang..and among them a a hug from a fiesty mouse-earred friend. A trip to Los Angeles was on the wish list for someone's very special birthday. And that was only the begining....
We begin our journey with little Gavin, who amongst all the excitement did not quite make it past the courner before catching some zzz's.
Mommy and Daddy, of course, needed a Starbucks coffee break!
When we finally made it to Disneyland for some fun. We had to make one very important stop for our very special girl!
Our young Padawan had to defend her Planet Naboo against Darth Vadar! She put up a very good fight after some intense lightsaber training.
Upon our return to Plant Earth, a visit to the Castle was in order.
We decided a quick trip to Radiator Springs to see Lightening McQueen and Mater was in order.
and Emma, of course, wanted to see the view from atop the Mickey Ferris Wheel!
After some tea with Tinkerbell, face painting was on the menu.
We decided Pluto needed to be taken for a walk..and what a quick walk that was!
and finally...a picture with the Big Cheese himself, Mickey!
And we couldn't come all this way without seeing Minnie Mouse!
Of course Gavin wanted to hang out and join in all the fun as well.
Even in the midst of all the chaos that is Disneyland, there were plenty of sister moments to be shared.
and when it was time to head out, it was time to cherish a little quiet time with Gavin.
With our time at Disneyland being short and sweet, what would a trip to Los Angeles be without playing in the Pacfic Ocean. And what better place for some sun and sand than Santa Monica Pier.
Even with the gorgeous sunless afternoon, we couldn't resist the ocean.
But alas, it was time to head home....and Gavin was all giggles!
We hope you enjoyed the preceeding commercial. Once again, we thank you for your continued patience. Your regularly scheduled programing will begin in a few moments.
